I absoltely LOVE to find a good deal on something. I am someone who doesn't tend to pay full price for anything for myself or Nils and now I do the same for our little guy. I wanted to share some of the sites I visit and have found some great deals on. Some sites have a new deal or 2 everyday and others just have really good sales once in a while.

3/16/10
On 3/16/10 our profile book (click on like and you can view the book we made) arrived at our adoption agency. I tracked that packed for 5 long days until it finally arrived there. I immediately began to wonder when it would be shown. What things would she like about it? Would it be our sweet Sadie girl pictures that she liked or the cute nursery pics to show we were all ready for our little one. Little did I know that almost immediately it was shown and the person it was shown to would forever change my life! Little did I know it was Nils's video games and musician qualities that would draw her to us. Our book didn't even need to be completed yet because our homestudy wasn't finalized but I had it all ready to go and just felt like I needed to get it ordered! I had a coupon that needed to get used up too so that was part of my push. But now I know the real reason. I needed to get that book done asap because I was about to become a mommy! I was about to have all my dreams made come true. All those years trying and longing for a sweet baby. All the tears and heartache were something I would go through all over again! If I could go back and tell myself what was ahead and how you are going through this for a reason and He is more amazing than you could ever dream of then that would have made those dark days so much easier!
I share all of this for 2 reasons. The first is that there are a few of my sweet friends still waiting, dreaming, hoping, and living in some of the darkest, loneliest days they will hopefully ever go through but I know without a doubt that when your day comes all this pain, all this hurt will be completely healed and that sweet face of your baby WILL make this wait worth it! The other reason is that Ive been on a message board for years now and one of the sweet girls on there just adopted her 2nd sweet baby. Both of her girls are from the same birthmom and I have had the honor of watching all of this unfold for the last several months. Yesterday her 2nd miracle came into this world, healthy, and beautiful! I have seen pictures today and it brings back floods of memories and tears remembering the day Stewart arrived. Her and I have had long conversations about everything in life and she has been a HUGE support through trying to conceive and then through the adoption process. She has an open adoption with her birthmom and I just love to see how others can have this amazing relationship with the girl who not only chose life for our sweet baby but who trusts me to raise, love and be mommy to them! I am so excited that all of her dreams have come true just like mine have! :) Adoption is an amazing, emotion filled life long process and I love having people to walk this journey with!

Non baby blog...
I feel like I am in a total mom fashion rut. Seriously I just don't feel like getting all dolled up and really trying not to buy too many pieces till I am done losing weight. So far I have lost 21 lbs and while that is great and Im happy with that so far I have finally hit the point of baggy clothes, feeling frumpy and need a few pieces to get by. So any suggestions on where to look would be great!! I usually go to target, Tjmaxx, and Marshalls but am hoping there is somewhere I dont know about? I am thinking a trip to Mall of America is in my near future for some fun accessories and maybe a few things. Another reason why I am feeling the need to dig out of this rut is we are having our first ever professional photos taken. I am SUPER excited about this and want to try and look somewhat put together even though with all the cuteness Stewart has Im pretty sure I don't need to even be in the pictures or anyone will notice Nils or I. I have a super cute tie, button down, and jeans for Stewart to wear (http://www.taylorjoelle.com/product-details.php?pid=1018926 ) something similar to that and Im sure Nils will wear jeans and whatever shirt I come up with. Oh if only it were as easy to dress as a girl as it is to dress as a boy. ha!
Time to get my sass back by May 7th!

Nonstop, crazy, fun weekend!
This was one of those weekends that I just loved but ended feeling so tired!
My weekend actually started on Thursday afternoon with a trip to the doctor that resulted in 3 different medications, a chest xray, blood work and a neb treatment in the doc's office. I had trouble breathing at work and decided after walking through Michaels on my lunch break and getting winded that I needed to go into the doctor. I thankfully only ended up with Bronchitis and a little fluid on my lungs. I thought sure it was going to be pneumonia again. I have had it several times and it felt almost exactly like this. Friday I stayed home and tried to rest up for the busy weekend ahead.
Saturday was a great day. We celebrated one of Stewart's good buddies 1st birthday. We went down a little early to help with the party set up and to hang out before it got crazy. It was a great party and the birthday boy LOVED his cake way more than his sister did a few years ago at her party. It made me so excited for Stewart's 1st Birthday and a little sad that this last year has gone by so fast!
Sunday Stewart's birthmom, aunt, and his birthmom's bff came to visit. We brought them to church with us and they all loved it. They go to a Catholic church so from what I was gathering they had never been to a service anywhere near like ours. After church we went to lunch and then did a little shopping at TJMaxx. Then we headed home to hang out and watch some tv. Our days always seem to go by so fast when they visit. We love seeing them and always laugh a lot and enjoy the day! We are super excited to have them meet our family and close friends at Stewart's 1st birthday party! Unfortunately I don't have any pictures right now of the weekend but hopefully I'll have some to post soon.
Hope your weekend was restful and fun!

Birthday party sneak peek....
I have been busy gathering things little by little for Stewart's big birthday! I love party planning and love finding bargains along the way. It all started with some cute plates I found when he was about a month old. It has taken off since there. I know he won't remember this birthday but I enjoy doing it so I'm going for it!
Still not done with this. Thinking it needs some sort of ribbon on it.

Whats new?
Things have been kinda mellow around here. I can't seem to fight off whatever crud is going around so I have spend most evenings on the couch snuggling with my little guy and watching tv with Nils.
Stewart is really busy right now. He just loves his activity table and will stand at it and pound away at the buttons. He pulls himself up on everything now and crawls everywhere. Most mornings when I get him out of bed he is standing up at the crib rails waiting to be rescued. Sometimes he gets super excited and jumps up and down in the crib when you walk in. He wants to feed himself everything and tries to take the spoon away whenever we feed him. My little guy is becoming very independent at almost 10 months old. (is he really almost 10 months old?!?)
I have started planning his birthday party and am having a blast with it! :) Its going to be Pirate themed. Ive found all sorts of random pirate things in the last month and have pretty much everything I need other than the food.
That's about all that we have going on. The next couple of weeks will be much more exciting with a day trip to St Cloud to visit friends, his birth family coming to visit, and Nils's bday next week.
